Device is the awesome Creative Effects camera from Fisher Price.
Subject is this a petrified eraser skull my sister brought me from Germany in the eighties.
Process is thermic paper instant photo printing.
The term "instant" here has to be taken as two to three long minutes waiting
for the paper to come out.To make that moment more fun, Fisher Price guys had the great idea to launch a sillly unbearable 8 bits mambo-type tune that I encourage you to either turn off or lower the volume cause it's gonna get on your nerves pretty easily.

Aim, shoot.Aim, shoot.Aim and shoot again...

The big problem with this sucker is the difficulty to center properly. It's a plasitc toy, not a Minolta.
Shooting a subject if you have a clear idea is soon gonna become a nightmare
as you'll have to correct the aiming by yourself .
So if you notice the subject is too far on the right corner when you swear it was in the center,
then shoot higher and more to the right even if the subject seems totally out of frame.
It's gonna be even harder to center if you shoot macro.
However, "chance operation" can be on your side with this kind of toys (such as PXL2000) and good results can occur in term of composition and contrast.
The brightness can vary significantly if the light slightly changes.
The senser is hell sensitive so just keep on trying and trying.
Keep in mind it still is a photographic device so you'll have to grasp firmely on the thing when pressing the pink button without shaking as long as the beep goes.

Once again (after the PXL experience) Fisher Price just like like the Pied Pipper, takes the kids into an unexpected obscure-goth-experimental photographic expressionism excursion.

« CHOCO-SYNTH » recycle series 02

Running Time’s « CHOCO-SYNTH » recycle series 02
the only video synth with a chocolate flavor!

The basis is another video enhancer bent and housed in that beautiful yellow container
that usually carries chocolate powder.
Traditionnal electronic projects enclosures are so  sad and costly...Recycle!
Pots knobs are  industrial food caps.
It ain't no "Tachyons+ my ass" .This project is at least ten times cheaper and unique.

Basis is an old video amp kit from the 90's.

setting up the values of a constant bend effect using trimmers

ajusting the value of a trigger effect

4,7K potentiometers along with 104Kcapacitor always got me satistfied.

the recycled enclosure

placing the outputs
In this case, use long enough wires at least as long as the box
so you can solder them to the circuit before inserting the whole thing.

The fun part:
Inserting circuit board after fixing the controls on top...
Patience is required.

best to use before (see date on lid):)

closed case!

One video I did using the Choco Synth along with a kaleidoscopic toy camera on a sweat feedback sesh.

Eggplantyons (video glitching and effects)

The Eggplantyons is a circuit bent video enhancer.Beside Berlin's wall's pieces of rocks, West Germany has left us some cool video stuff like this neat VIVANCO gain/sharpness video amp.
Some easy bends with no big extra components can produce some trippy glitchy-type effects for a very low cost.
Grab a bunch of pots (best 4,7K )and look for bendpoints.
It is a response to the infamous Tachyons+ synths craze bullshit.

More here!

For best results, pass tru a proper video mixer(tbc).

Here is some kinda demo down below done before I sold the device.
